Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 mAh Dual USB Review

The Aibocn 10,000 power bank does exactly as advertised and is an incredible bang for the buck. It has very decent power, 2 outputs for simultaneous charging, overcharge protection, and is as portable as it gets. If you're in need of a cheap dual-output portable charger that fits in your pocket, the Aibocn power bank 10,000 is your best pick.

Power capacity: 10,000 mAh
Outputs: 2 (1A and 2.1A)
Weight: 212g (7.5oz)
Time to charge itself: 4 – 5 hours
Compatible with: Tablet, iPad/iPhone, Android and other smartphones, digital camera etc. (any micro-USB supported device)

Just like mophie, Aibocn is a top ranked power bank brand with much experience in electronic tools and accessory. A massive difference between the two is that Aibocn power banks are considerably less costly than mophie’s. Let’s take a look at the Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 mAh to see how it stacks up against other dual output powerbanks in this review.

Design and Portability

Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 mAh size

The Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 is easily the most portable dual output power bank we’ve seen. The mophie Powerstation XL – while smaller in length – is a lot thicker and doesn’t fit in your pocket as easy. The Aibocn Power Bank measures at 5.4 inches in length and is about as tall as an iPhone 6. It’s only 2 inch in width and a mere 0.78 inches thick. It fits in your pocket with ease and is so lightweight that it will barely scratch when dropped.

It’s design reminds a bit of an old Sony MP3 player and has a nicely brushed aluminum look with orange on the side. It’s also available with a grey or black stripe in case the orange color isn’t for you. I like the orange as it gives it a distinctive look from my other boring colored devices.

Features

The Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 has 2 USB outputs so you can charge 2 devices simultaneously, and it’s fitted with LED indicators to show how much battery is left in the powerbank.

A nice feature of the Aibocn Power bank is it’s Intelligent Safety Protection, which we’ve also seen in other quality power banks like the Aukey 10,000 Pocket Portable Charger. It makes sure the power bank won’t overcharge when your device’s battery is full and prevents damage. It’s surprising to see this crucial feature in such an inexpensive powerbank. Aibocn has made sure the power bank is equipped with the most important features, and managed to pack it all up in such a compact device.

With that said, there’s also a flashlight function on the power bank. Of course not a very crucial feature by any means, but can come in handy whenever you have a hard time seeing the input slot on your smartphone or tablet. However, the flashlight LED is not very bright so don’t expect it to be helpful when out camping or doing any other outside activity.

Power

For a portable charger as compact as the Aibocn Power Bank, it has an impressive power capacity. It possesses 10,000 mAh and has enough to charge about any average smartphone 3 or 4 times, or a tablet once.

Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 mAh Dual outputs

Thanks to it’s double output you can charge two devices simultaneously, and the outputs are marked by one and two lightning bolts respectively. One lightning bolt means 1A, and two lightning bolts means 2A (2.1A to be more precise). The 2A output charges faster and is suitable for tablets. It charges at a nice tempo and an average smartphone will be fully charged in around 2.5 hours. The other output is only 1A and charges a bit slower. Keep in mind though that you probably won’t be charging two devices at once often and you can usually just use the 2A output.

When the power bank itself runs out of juice it takes around 4-5 hours to fully charge again. This seems quite long, but most 10,000 mAh power banks take much longer than this so it’s actually pretty good.

Conclusion

The Aibocn Power Bank 10,000 mAh is an incredible bang for your buck. It’s very cheap, boasts a high power capacity, has dual output so you can charge two devices simultaneously, and is one of the most portable power banks we’ve seen to date. Overall, it’s one of the best power banks for the money.
