Celebrate Back to School at AMSET's Free Family Arts Day this weekend

BEAUMONT — Get ready for a creative, fun-filled day of arts and craft celebrating recycling and back to school!

The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) if offering another free Family Arts Day this weekend in downtown Beaumont.

This year's theme is ‘Don’t Mess with Texas, Mess with Art!’, and children and their families are encouraged to come and explore the museum's eclectic artwork with recycled materials.

Families can also take part in fun arts and crafts activities inspired by AMSET’s current exhibitions including Mundos Pequeños: Miniatures from the John Gaston Fairey Collection of Mexican Folk Art

and Dreams, Screams and Fantastical Things on view thru the fall.

Complimentary punch and cookies will be provided and the first 100 patrons will get ice cream.

Admission is free and open to the public!

It will take place at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas at 500 Main Street in Beaumont.
